Designer Runway Shows / The Arcade / Saturday, May 7 / Various Admission Times / 7pm, 8pm, 9pm
Twelve designers from across the United States show their creations in twelve separate runway shows. As your car pulls up to the valet service on Superior Avenue… you see the paparazzi lined-up along the red carpet. You walk down the red carpet, toward the doorman, as he opens large brass doors. You enter the doors and into the labyrinth that is The Arcade; with a high vaulted glass ceiling, brass railed balconies, and a Romanesque Revival design.
You begin your immersion into an evening of fashion and style. Colored lights, fashionable people, and stylish appetizers; is the new normal.
Music fills your ears as the party begins, your eyes are drawn to the runway in anticipation of the evening’s events. As the cocktail party begins and comes to a quick end, the butler-passed appetizers all but gone, you scurry to your seat. Members of the Joffrey Ballet fill the runway. The music changes, as do the lights. Then, quite suddenly, colors and patterns flash by you, as fashion models strut like peacocks in the sun, much to the delight and applause of the audience. Hello Cleveland… it’s time to show fashion a little love!

WHAT: Malan Breton men’s and women’s collections for AW 2016, are a mellifluous dichotomy of modern silhouettes, using classic construction techniques, and form yet allowing the body freedom, and movement. Studio 54’s sensual, yet androgynous environment plays inspiration for the women’s collection, where the men’s is inspired by the Savile row moderne of styles worn by the late David Bowie during his Ziggy Stardust period. Each element with a touch of Asia. This season Malan Breton uses an array of silks from rich brocades, beaded chiffons, denim, velvet,
Ecologically friendly Vicuña, English cashmere, techno fibers made of recyclable elements, and fused wools. The collection, though classic, borderlines on sport, with functional shapes for the modern lifestyle.
To accompany the subtle colour palette of the season Malan Breton introduces his first foray into cosmetics for women, models will wear his new selection of lip colours, and eyeshadows in colours inspired by, and using natural essences of his birth rite Taiwan. A cosmetic collection that will launch for fall winter 2016 created by the makers of the top cosmetic brands in the world Amazing Brands. Feb. 27, 2015 – NYC, NY. Westlake resident, Spanish born, fine & fashion jewelry designer, Maria Pujana accessorized Malan Breton Fall Winter 2015 Women’s Collection during the New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center, NYC, New York on February 18, 2015.
Man has stated that fate is written in the stars. Malan Breton Men’s and Women’s collections for fall winter 2015 are a reflection of the solar system. A star, is an embodiment of light. To mirror these celestial elements, Malan’s fabrics were chosen using 3m technologies and woven techno fibres.
For men, a dichotomy of silk, wool, mohair, and techno fibre reads to a palette that symbolises the stars, the moon, and the sun.
For women specially woven fibres in silk, wool, cashmere, mohair, and 3m fibres play part in this representation of night, and day.
This season Malan will be partnering with the finest artisans in jewelry, and avant garde accessories. Marise Designs, by Maria Pujana, a fine fashion jewelry collection, that accented the women’s looks. Rob Bacon avant garde men’s jewelry accented the men’s looks in the collection.
Sperry Top Sider brand lends an air of tradition to the heritage looks, Caterina Belluardo shoes, and leather goods provides the perfect sartorial partnering.
For hair Malan Breton begins his first of many events for 2015 with hair partner Ecru New York. Joining the team once again is makeup partner Bella Beauty, and Zoya provides the nail art to finish the look for women.
